Once you have the basics, dressing for any occasion is a snap. A basic fall wardrobe includes casual and workplace pants and pantsuits, skirts, dresses, shirts, blouses, blazers, sweaters, shoes and a coat or two.

Remember to dress up and accessorize with a few good pieces of jewelry and a great handbag. Accessories don't have to be expensive, and they go far to change your look for a variety of outfits.
Scarves, vests, panty hose and belts are often overlooked, but should be included as foundation pieces.
Think "investment" when shopping for handbags, shoes and coats. That's where the money should go.
Be wary of trendy pieces that cost a lot. They're here and gone, but could label you as a trendy dresser. Still, don't be afraid of having fun and creating your own style.
